Minster Lodge is one of our most popular cottages, it comprises of five bedrooms and sleeps up to 16 people.
On the ground floor there is:
-1 double bedroom
-1 family room containing one double bed and two single beds
The first floor contains three bedrooms:
-1 family room containing one king-size bed and one single bed
-1 family room containing one king-size bed and two single beds
-1 family room containing one double bed and one single bed
The first-floor bathroom contains a walk-in shower, hand basin, and W/C. The ground floor bathroom contains a shower cubicle, additional disabled adapted shower, hand basin, and W/C.

Early arrivals can be requested approximately 1-2 weeks prior to your arrival date. We will try our best to accommodate your needs, however we cannot guarantee it will be possible
All departures are by 12noon, unless stated otherwise by us. In some cases departure time may be earlier if we have arrivals the same day. If you specifically request a late departure, the same rule would apply as with early arrivals. You are however welcome to leave vehicles on site during your departure day should you wish to visit York City Centre, returning later in the day to collect.
Upon receiving your booking confirmation via email, a deposit of 25% of the total accommodation cost is due within the next 7 consecutive days. The remaining balance for your accommodation, and also the cost for any added extras, will be due 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. You can call the office to make payment by debit or credit card. Alternatively you can make an internet transfer. Full details will be listed on your booking confirmation email.
We will require a pre-authorisation of your credit card approximately 5 days prior to your arrival, for up to £200.00 per cottage booked, to cover any incidentals or extra charges which may occur during your stay. For bookings with more than one cottage, a different card per cottage may be used unless you are happy to use the same card for each. Please be aware that this is not an extra charge and will not affect the cost of your booking, however this will show as unavailable funds for the holding period. The pre-authorisation amount will be released following departure, providing we do not need to process a payment. Funds take on average 10 working days to clear on your statement from the date of transaction. This time frame varies from bank to bank but should not take more than 30 days. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.
Should you wish to cancel your booking, we must be notified in writing by the lead guest whose name the booking is under. On receipt of your written cancellation the following charges will apply; more than 28 days prior to your arrival date 25% of the total cost, 28-14 days prior to your arrival date 50% of the total cost, less than 14 days prior to your arrival date 100% of the total cost. For all cancellations at any time after booking the deposit is non-refundable.
We provide all bed linen and one bath towel per person. Please note we do not provide additional towels for use of the hot tub. Please bring your own towels.
High chairs and cots can be provided free of charge upon request.
Further amenities include; dishwasher, range style duel fuel cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, colour TV, DAB radio with integrated bluetooth speaker, iron and ironing board. The kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catered stay including all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, kitchen rolls, toilet rolls, bin liners, and hand soap. Tea, coffee and sugar sachets, and milk pots are also provided for a welcome drink only.
