There are six properties set down a private electronically gated drive, and as such are well placed for exploring York.

York offers a wide variety of attractions with the Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, trips on the River Ouse, the National Railway Museum, and a wealth of shops, restaurants and pubs to explore. Within 30 miles lie the glorious Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, with its steam railway from Pickering, 25 miles. Along the coastline, the scenery varies from the dramatic cliffs at Bempton, gentle shelving sands at Filey, the historic seaport of Whitby and the traditional resort of Scarborough, all within 40 miles. Local places of interest include Castle Howard, Benningborough Hall and Rievaulx Abbey. York racecourse is a short drive, with Ripon, Thirsk, Wetherby and Beverley making an alternative venue for the racing enthusiast. Shop and pub 2 miles.
